Ice Skating

Yet, again, sorry I have not written for a while but I wanted to say: I LOVE ICE SKATING. I have been a couple of times recently and loved it, now I have my own ice skates. I have found out there are loads of accessories you can have, I asked for some for Christmas. Anyway, look at these.

Gaia

Rebecca told me about Gaia some time ago, and now they have revamped it so it is a lot better. For one thing, they have a daily give. I like this idea, although I never get anything good from it. I still don't see how some people can have so much money. Do they go around shaking trees all of the time?
I think gaia is a good site, but I think there should be slightly easier ways to get money.

Latin

You may know this from Petrona, But I am learning Latin at my knew school. i really like, we are learning about a real person living in ancient Rome, he was a banker and his name was Caecilius.
Anyway, on the search for a Latin dictionary and a learn Italian book, we found Harrius Potter et Philosiphi Lapis (Harry Potter in Latin). I had some trouble reading it, but I think it will help me a lot with Latin.

So, I am not sure is a week has past yet, but I have another question for you. This week, I am going to ask you to do something that minx set me on my post about sorting people into Hogwarts houses. Her question was, if you could have your own Horgwarts house, what would it be called?
I thought about this question alot, but I still cannot think of an answer. I know that my animal would be a Robyn, and my colours would be turquoise and silver or purple and silver but I cannot think of a name.

Weekly(ish!) competition!

Rice ball recipe

My best friend Lydia has made a club called the united rice balls, all about rice balls. I joined because I like rice balls too, and this means that I am second-in-command. I will write more about the united rice balls later, but the point of this post is that I was looking for rice ball recipes and I found this, which maybe you would like to see. I am not sure if I will ever try it, but you might, so here is the recipe. I searched by hardest for a simple way!

How to make a rice ball: the simple way

1.Cook some rice, in a rice cooker, if you have one. If you do not, the rice ball may not come out as well, but it should be fine
2.While the rice is cooking, decide what you are going to have inside the rice ball, and cut it into a small strip. It can be fish, any vegetables, seaweed or plum, which is also particularly nice. If you want, you can choose something else, but it might not taste good. Just experiment.
3.When the rice is cooked, sprinkle a bit of salt on it to give it some flavour.
4.Mould the rice into a ball and stick your strip of something onto the back of it.
5.Eat the rice ball. Hope you enjoy it!

I found this really cool website where you take a quiz to see which house you should be in, then it gives you the html coding afterwards. The last question really got me thinking: what house do want to be in? Well, obviously not Slitherine, but Hufflepuff are so kind, Griffindor so brave and Ravenclaw so clever. I just could not decide. In the end I answered Griffindor, but when I did the quiz again and answered Ravenclaw, it put me in Ravenclaw, then Hufflepuff, and I was in Hufflepuff. Wired. I decided to put all three down, but I beleive I truly should be in Griffindor, because that is what I answered first.

Reviewtopia!!!

Reveiwtopia!!! is my knew blog. That does not mean I am abanonning this one, my other one is especially for reviews. I may write on reveiwtopia!!! more though, because I find I do not have much to write about on The Little Hibiscus Fairy. I have just brought a book (or rather, mother just brought me a book ) which is called Greek gods and goddesses. It is really just myths about Ancient Greek gods and goddesses. It was enjoyable, although I knew most of the myths already. It was well illustrated and simply told for children, yet at parts maybe a bit too simple. However, I did think it was a well written book for children. I would give it 4/5.

Ancient Greeks

At school we are studying the ancient greeks. I really like all of the different gods and godesses. My favourite godess is Artemis, the godess of the moon, also known as the huntress. The picture on the right is her, although ofcourse no one knew what she looked like.
So far we have not really done anything about the gods or godesses, just theatres and temples. Did you know that each temple in one city was dedicated to a different god or godess? People used to make sacrifices to the gods, like animals. There could be up to 500 animals for sacrifice at one time!!!!
It seems really wierd, but I just suppose that was the way they lived in those days.

Sorry I have not written in ages. I do have an excuse this time though: I have been really busy in the easter holidays, plus I went to centre parcs, which was brilliant. I am starting to regret taking Izzy though, she is bullying me now, for pointless reasons of her own. She is bullying me with her usual group of friends, Freya, Katie L, and last but most certainly not least (If you called her least she would get really angry and throw a tantrum) Jenny W, another Jenny.
I have also made a friend in America, Molly, on Flickr. Molly is really nice and is as mad on Fruits Basket as I am. I am really glad I have real friends like Lydia, Hannah, Fern, Ruby and Molly to help me when people I thought were my friends are bullying me.

Ballet Show

I went to see a ballet show yesteday. My childminders daughter, Corey, was in it. She is a very good ballet dancer. The first half was lots of little dances, she was in 2 or 3 of them. The second half was The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe. Corey played Lucy in that, who, if you do not know, is the main character. I thought that the second half was better, but it would have been hard to understand if you had not read the books, as there was not any talking. I thought that the white witch was not scary enough, she looked like a good Fairy, not an evil witch. My overall opinion was 4/5, since it was so good.

The little Hibiscus Fairy

I have changed the title of my blog! I called it "the little hibiscus fairy" because Hibiscuses are my favorite flower, and they are very much my flower. This blog used to be called "Magic Dreams" but I do not like that much anyway.

End of term!!

Yes! Tge easter holidays are here, which means 2 weeks of non-school! However, This does mean that when I go back to school, I will be in my last term of school, and that means secondary school soon :-(
It has been a good term though, we played netball and won 4-0, 4-0, 3-0, 2-1, 1-0 and 1-0 all to us! we played against St. Agathers, Lachmere and Lovelace. Also, I got the headteachers award and started a website and a fan club. I auditioned for the arts evening, Mrs. Allan did not like our first song, which I did with 3 of my friends, but she sort of liked it when Lydia and I sang a song from fruits Basket. Mrs Allan does not want us to sing that song though, she wants Lydia, Amelia and Jenny W to all sing the song that Jenny W sang, which I had never even heard of. Besides, how am I meant to get the words?
So, as you can see, I have had a very busy term, what a releif it is that it is over!

river project

I have not written for ages, I know. I have been very busy with my river project, as I did not have much time to hand it in. But, I have handed it in now, I am so glad I do not have to do any more of that! I did the Colorado River, which is a river in America, and, as you might have guessed, starts in the rocky mountains of the state of Colorado. I did 46 pages in total, and a 17 slide long powerpoint presentation. The presentation was very last minute, as I started it at 9:00pm the night before we were meant to give it in. I thought that doing my river project was quite interesing, but it got really boring before I had got to to the end of the river, mexico.

Furuba Fan club

The Furuba fan club is going really well, I am really enjoying doing it. Making the membership cards was really fun, and so is making a website, but my computer goes all wierd when I try to get on to editing it. Ayway, for some strange reason, I fell really excited. I wonder why...

I just made a wesite on Yahoo! It is a Furuba (Fruits Basket)Fan club website. I have started a Fruits Basket fan club with my friends, and I want to put it on to internet form, so... I did it! I am really excited about the fan club, both on the website and with my Friends. I cannot wait to tell Lydia (my friend that I started the fan club with) the great news tommorow. Secondary schools

YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!! I got into nonsuch, my first prefrence of school. I am so happy that I cannot contain my happiness (a year of tutoring really pays of). I really thought I had not passed. You know people cry when theyare happy, well, I could not even cry I was so happy. I cannot wait until tomorrow, then I can tell all of my friends. I know I passed the tiifin test aswell, but I much prefer nonsuch, so that is that. Apart from that, life is a great big smiley face. I found out today that we are going to do Robin Hood for our production. I want to be Robin Hood, maid Marian or will scarlet. Also in my last few entries I do not know if I fully established that I am better and back at school. I AM SO HAPPY!!!

So, the winter olympics is over. In a way it makes me sad:( Great Britain only won one medal then. But ohwell, it is good that we even won any medals I suppose, so huge thanks to Shelly Rudman (wherever you are)for winning us that silver. I really enjoyed watching it, anyway, especially the ice scating (which I adored) and enjoying it is more important than winning medals, right?(not sure what most people would think)I wish I could be in the winter olympics, (winter, not summer and, obviously, when I am old enough, but I would have to wait four years anyway) it would be fun, and it would be great to represent Great Britain. Who knows, maybe someday...
I really liked the ariels (skiing up to a jump, then doing flips an spins in the air) aswell. I thought that the snowboarding cross(four people racng on snowboards) final was funny aswell. I almost know the end of that commentry of by heart (laugh)...
As I said, It makes me feel sad that I have to wait another four years untill the next winter olympics, but the summer olympics is only in two years, and if the winter olympics happened all of the time, then there would be nothing to look forward to, right?

I am sorry that I have not written in ages.I have been ill, which means I lie onthe sofa reading picture books and listening to tapes. Despite being ill at the end of it, I had a good half term, in which I brought a really nice bookmark(that is a bit random).So february's end is drawing near, which means the results for secondary school come in less than a week. It is funny that they do it this early in the year, isn't it? So that makes me REALLY nervous....and I do not feel that good, so I do not think I am quite as happy as could be right now...

February

So, February has begun. I know it is a little late for that, but I have not written since January. Today ,I am ill, so I am staying home from school. It is sad really, because it is my sisters birthday. I cannot wait untill she gets home from school, because I really want to see her reaction to all of her presents. I got her an acrylic paint set , and a sheet of laminated paper with 15 things I like about her written down on it.
The picture opposite is of an amethyst, which is the birthstone of the month. If I remember, then at the beginning of each month, I shall put up a picture of the birthstone for that month.

Random Hello

Yes,I know the title is strange, but I really do not have much to say. Anyway,I just finished Fruits Basket 12 : ( . That makes me very sad. I wonder how long it will be untill book 13 comes out? Not much news that I know of yet, but I am sure some will come out soon.
I know it is the 31 st today, but I am rather pleased with myself for writing back before february.
It takes me ages to write a blog, which is the main reasonI do not write that often. I am a really slow typer!

Fruits basket

Hello!It is not February yet is it?I am meant to write every day,and I do not,but atleast I write more often then once a month!
Any way,I said I read a manga book, but I did not say it was the best book in the world!It was called Fruits basket.I recomend it to a wide range of people (mostly teenagers).The people on the right are the characters from book one (They go up to 12 in Engand).The names of the characters are:Yuki,Shigure,Kyo,Kagura and Tohru. Shigure is the tallest of the boys.Yuki has black hair and Kyo has red. Tohru is the slightly tallest of the girls.
Kagura does not come into it much,she appears near the end. Tohru is the main character,she lives in a tent at the start of the story, and ends up living with the Sohmas (Shigure,Kyo and Yuki).I really want to read book two, but it is nowhere in the shops,so it is on order,but it will probly take a really long time to get to my house.It is on order with books three and four,so I brought books five and six.Then , I received books eight ,nine and ten.Then, book seven ,then books eleven and twelve, so yousee I am in a tight situation here .I need books four,three and mostly two!!!

Luna Lovegood

Newsround has a new update on the audition process for the role of Luna Lovegood in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. The report says that after Saturdays open call where some 15,000 girls auditioned, the filmmakers have narrowed the field down to 400 girls in the next step to casting the part of the eccentric Ravenclaw student in the new Harry Potter film. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is due to start filming in February.

Narnia movie 2

I just found this! I love the Narnia film and books!

Following the impressive box office success of The Chronicles of Narnia , the film's producers have already announced that they will make a sequel.
The Chronicles of Narnia has earned more than $475 million in the US, which is enough to convince producers to invest in a follow-up. The original cost of the film was $180 million, so the film has more than doubled the initial investment.
Producers have not yet named a director for the sequel, however Andrew Adamson, who directed Narnia will not be returning.
The sequel will be called Prince Caspian, which will be adapted for the screen from the fourth book of the Chronicles of Narnia series. The new entry will follow the film's heros as they return to Narnia centuries after their first visit, to come to the aid of Prince Caspian, who is battling the armies of his Uncle Miraz.
Filming for Prince Caspian is set to begin at the end of 2006, and the film should ready for audiences by Christmas, 2007.

Having a break

I am sorry I have not been writing entries in here for a long time.I have been really busy (yes,I know that that is the usual excuse!).Any way ,I have read a really good manga book(everything about me seems to be about manga) and seen the famous nintendo DS which every one got for christmas.
I was determind to think that the nintendo DS would be exactly the same as the gameboy advance (which I already have). However,I have to admit,it was really cool.The main difference between DS and GBA is that theDS has two screens.At first I thought "What is the point?"but I gradually became aware of the advantages of having two screens.Also,one is a touch screen.
Anyway,I will try and write back soon,but it will probably be in about february.....
